Ms. Shenna O. Hernandez is Miss Tacloban 2011
The Tacloban Convention Center, more popularly called as Astrodome, brimmed with spectators coming from different schools in Tacloban City. No group was prouder and more ecstatic though than the ABE Tacloban family on June 25, 2011. Contestants #11 (Ms. Shenna Hernandez) and #12 (Ms. Crisanta Rivera) wowed the crowd with their show of team spirit and coordination in spite of the fact that they were competitors. The roof of the dome seemed to fall from the vibration of ABE Tacloban family's cheer as they paraded onstage especially when the 1st runner-up winner's name was called out. In the midst of happy chanting of ABE and Shenna, the new Miss Tacloban, Ms. SHENNA O. HERNANDEZ, cried with joy and outstretched her arms to the crowd.

June-July 2011 Featured Alumni (Part 1)
ABE Tacloban's first Commencement Exercises were held in May 2005. The succeeding were in May 2006, May 2008, May 2009, May 2010, and April 2011. ABE Tacloban alumni can be found in almost all industries and sectors working with full commitment, loyalty, and keen sense of job quality. Ten alumni are featured for the months of June-July 2011 to commemorate the first 10 years of ABE Tacloban's kaleidoscopic life. Articles on each of the featured alumni will follow.
ABE Tacloban Blogspot Writers
ABE Tacloban Blogspot needs writers (prose and poetry) who would like to contribute on a weekly basis. You may submit your sample article to abetacloban@gmail.com. Please state in the body your intention to become part of the writers' pool of ABE Tacloban. All students, employees and alumni may participate. At the end of the semester, all writers will be given a Certificate of Appreciation. Furthermore, writing lessons or workshops will be conducted on a monthly basis.
Submission of Works for Diurnalis
Diurnalis is a compilation of literary works, both prose and poetry, written by ABE Tacloban students, employees, and alumni. It will be published online via this site and shared through social networks. The first compilation for the School Year 2011-2012 will be out on July 4, 2011.

June 20 is a Holiday
There will be no classes on June 20. This is in relation to the celebration of Gat Jose P. Rizal's 150th birthday. His actual birthday is on June 19 though. (JVG)
